The Himalayan Buddhist Cultural School at Salugara, West Bengal, India is an integral part of Himalayan Buddhist Cultural Association, a Delhi based non-political but cultural outfit with the aim of promoting education and culture among the economically weaker and underprivileged masses in the Himalayan region and the border areas.

The School’s main infrastructure was built around the Kalachakra Phodang from where His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama initiated the Kalachakra (Mahayana Buddhist Religious Tantric initiation) following which from time to time we have had Rinpoches ,Khenpos different Mahayana Buddhist sects blessing the area with their presence.
